At Ardo they wanted to optimize production and quality management processes for users that don’t normally have access to SAP or a MES (think warehouse/factory workers). To solve this issue they wanted a custom application with a user-friendly Fiori UI, accessible through newly installed “kiosk-pc’s”. The application was to be an extension of their S/4HANA system.

But how to build such an extension in a clean core way, also taking into account the existing SAP landscape at Ardo?
