While consumer orders flowed smoothly through the web shop into SAP S/4HANA Cloud, about 30 % of B2B orders still arrived via PDF emails, requiring manual download, data verification. This was a time-consuming and error-prone process.
The team implemented SAP’s AI-powered tool that extracts structured data from PDFs, matches it against master records, and generates a draft sales order for quick review and approval. As a result, 33% fewer manual orders had to be entered, customer service now spends more time on helping customers, and data-entry errors were reduced thanks to AI accuracy.
