How Proximus elevates employee experience with SAP Work Zone

With more than 12,000 employees across Belgium and abroad, Proximus is one of Belgium's leading digital services providers. At this scale, delivering a smooth HR experience isn’t a nice-to-have – it’s essential. Yet, until recently, employees and managers had to navigate a maze of disconnected tools just to handle everyday tasks like leave requests, training, or expenses.

To simplify the experience, Proximus launched MyHR: a unified, intuitive digital HR hub powered by SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone and built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Developed in close collaboration with Flexso, the new platform plays a key role in the company’s Fantastic User Experience (FUSE) program.

MyHR: 57 processes streamlined into one portal

Imagine it’s 4 PM on a Friday and you want to quickly request leave or register for a training course. At Proximus, this simple task used to imply selecting one tool out of fifty. The fragmented setup made it difficult for employees to find the right information – and just as hard for managers to maintain a clear overview.

As part of the company’s Fantastic User Experience program, aimed at creating a seamless digital workplace, the HR team set out to rethink the employee journey. That’s where Flexso came in.

Together, we consolidated 57 HR-related systems into just 7 cloud-based applications, all easily accessible through the new MyHR platform. With integrated UI cards and personalized dashboards, employees now get actionable insights delivered directly to their screen – no more searching through inboxes, links, or apps.

A unified experience for all employees

Designing MyHR came with its own set of challenges. To create a consistent, intuitive experience for everyone – from field technicians to global managers – Proximus needed a thoughtful approach to user group mapping, interface design, and integration with existing systems.

SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone proved to be the ideal fit. The flexible, user-friendly platform allowed Proximus to integrate custom tools while leveraging standard capabilities. Using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Flexso's AppHaus team developed a set of tailored applications that support Proximus’ unique HR processes.

Real impact across the organization

Since the launch of MyHR in February 2024, more than 9,500 employees have started using the platform, with over 5,000 unique visits each week. Whether it’s checking remaining holidays, approving requests, or consulting the knowledge base, HR is now just a few clicks away.

Centralizing HR services has also freed up valuable IT resources. Instead of maintaining dozens of legacy systems, the team can now focus on strategic, value-adding work.

Employees now enjoy a seamless experience that supports hybrid working and gives them full control over their HR journey. What's more, Proximus has seen significant gains in employee satisfaction, productivity, and engagement.
